Forever Is Now 06 Welcomes the Celebrated Chinese Artist for Her First Major Work in Egypt
“Jiang Qiong Er is one of the defining artists of her generation. The Pyramids have never needed permission to endure, they simply have. What she offers them is kinship: another civilization that also chose to write in stone, to believe that some messages are too important to trust to a single lifetime. We are not hosting an artwork this year. We are hosting a harvest that has not happened yet.”
Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, Founder, Art D’Égypte
“For many years, my work has explored two questions: Are we together? How shall we live together? I do not seek to answer them with words, but with gestures. To plant a seed is to entrust something invisible to time. It is a quiet belief that what we cultivate together today may one day become the shade beneath which others will gather.” Said Jiang Qiong Er, reflecting on the vision behind It Is Time to Plant Love.
